PLATFORM: Mostly Win NT. There are very few projects which are being carried out on Unix and Solaris. Very few.

LANGUAGES: C++, Java and VC++.

PAY: One of the highest paying company. In the top 5.

ENVIRONMENT: Very cordial atmosphere conducive for bringing the best out of you. Very nice comfortable workplaces.

FACILITIES: The best thing is the lunch they provide. Quite good and very cheap. Facilities for playing TT, Carrom available.

PROJECTS: Most of the projects are relating to telecommunication. You will be involved in developing telecommunication software which is a very vast area. The work is not totally system software nor application software but somewhere in between them. The projects are interesting and challenging.

Regarding the company work as such, most of my friends who have joined with me are quite happy with the work. The work won't be very hectic and students with computer science background may feel it very easy. They have a training period on about 1 month in which they train the fresh recruits on C++, SDK and MFC.

After training, the freshers will be put into any department depending on the existing project needs. You do not have any control where you will end up. But all departments are doing good work. So regarding the work you should not worry. But if you are very much interested in one particular area then maybe talking with the authorities might help. But personally I feel that all departments are good and one can feel very happy and satisfied with one's work. I am talking of an average guy out here. Those who are workholic might feel a little bit out of place because there might not be enough work to whet his appetite.

Last but not the least, if you are interested in pursuing higher studies then it is one of the best companies to join. You will have ample time to prepare for other things. Also since the pay is good, it will be an added advantage. You will get the best of both work as well as money.

But if you are thinking of a long term goal of working, I advice you to forget joining here. You may get bored of working in the same project. The projects which arrive are very similar in nature and one may enjoy it say for 2 years after which one might start feeling bored.

So think about this when you are joining.
